The video slide show on the DVD documents the natural beauty of the El Paso area through more than 290 photos. It is an expanded version of the CD-ROM and playable on TV or computer. El Paso, located in the center of the Chihuahua Desert, is home to a large number of beautiful cacti. Many different blooming cacti, other blooming plants, and fascinating animals are shown together with some of the highlights of El Paso city. They are testimony to the colorful and picturesque ambience of the El Paso area. All photos were taken within the city limits of El Paso and show the plants and animals in their natural habitat. The richness of the natural history of El Paso is a treasure that is still under-appreciated and deserves more attention and protection.

The photgraphers, Gertrud and Ad Konings, are both biologists and live in El Paso. The music on the DVD was provided by the Coronado HS Orchestras directed by Ida Steadman.
