This DVD video slide show of the Big Bend area contains a selection
of beautiful images of the area, from Presidio in the west through
Marathon to the cactus city of Sanderson, including, of course, the Big
Bend National Park with the Chisos mountains, the Mariscal Canyon and other
stunning natural formations. The area is part of the Chihuahuan desert
and some of its characteristic flora and fauna are depicted with special
focus on the cacti. All pictures were taken in the wild and show the amazing
beauty of these desert dwellers. The background music is in Native
American music style.
The photgraphers, Gertrud and Ad Konings, are both biologists and live
in El Paso.
